The 3rd KNB tournament was held in Saint John and our school had the following results: Lynne Arsenault (1st place kumite, 1st place team kata, 3rd place individual kata), Nathalie Arsenault (1st place individual kata, 1st place team kata, 3rd place kumite), Julie Arsenault (1st place team kata, 2nd place individual kata), Mackenzie Carter (3rd place individual kata). Congratulations!

The 2nd KNB tournament was held in Frederiction with the following results: Jasmine Gaudet (2nd place team kata, 2nd place individual kata), Celine Gautreau (2nd place team kata, 2nd place individual kata), Emilie Gaudet (2nd place team kata, 1st place individual kata). Great job!

Tsuruoka National Karate Tournament, August 14-15, 2009, St John’s, Newfoundland

A great showing for our school at the 2009 Tsuruoka Nationals held in St. John's, Newfoundland on
August 14th and 15th.  The Tsuruoka National Championships are held every two years in a different province. 
For a second time, the New Brunswick Team won a Gold medal.  Four of the five members of the winning
Kumite team are from our school.  Winning team members included:  Jean-Robert Bourgeois (Moncton),
Paul Arsenault (Moncton), Serge Kerry (Pokemouche), Marcel Daigle (Moncton), Emmanuel Leblanc
(Moncton) and Coach Oscar Leger (Moncton).

and Malcolm Ross (absent) to 5th Degree Black Belt.
